About your quilts:
- All quilts must be pressed with loose threads clipped on both front and back.
- Do not baste or pin the quilt in any way. Quilt top, batting and backing should all be separated.
- Pieced backing should be sewn with 1/2-inch seam pressed open.
- If providing your own backing and batting, each should be approximately 4" larger than quilt top on all sides (8" total on width and length).
- Speciality varigated and metallic threads available at an extra charge.

Want to quilt your own quilt, but don't have access to a
longarm machine? Rent Pappy's
longarm and do it yourself!
Costs & Requirements:
Required class on Longarm Quilting Machine
- cost $40.
In class you will learn:
How to load a
quilt on the machine
Threading the
machine
Simple
meandering and freehand
Try a simple
pantograph
After mandatory class, machine rental
is $10/hour.
Note: While anyone can do
longarm quilting, remember it takes practice to improve. The more quilting
experience you come in with, the quicker you will pick up longarm quilting.
