Class Schedule

Class policy: Please pay for classes when you register. Bring your sewing machine and supplies. If your class goes through lunch, bring a lunch or snack – we have a refrigerator you are welcome to use. Unless otherwise noted, class fee does not include fabrics or other sewing supplies.

Selvidge Bag w/ Anne Claiborne
Wednesday, July 28, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and
Wednesday, August 4, 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Cost: $30 plus supplies

This two day class teaches you to use the selvedges you normally toss out to make a tote bag.

This is the bag we made for the Shop Hop basket that Gail Sparks won!

Christmas Paper Pieced Trees w/ Laurie Brobst
Saturday, July 31, 2010, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Cost: $15 plus supplies

O' Christmas Tree, O' Christmas Tree - Christmas in July - get ready for Christmas decorating with these paper pieced Christmas trees. Big or little or both. You might even forget the big tree and use this wallhanging instead.

Cost: Class fee $40 (includes lunch) plus $20 kit fee

Stroll through the world of hand embroidery stitches that can be used for crazy quilting stitches. Jane is a former shop owner and now expert on the use of hand stitching using YLI threads. Check out the kit contents to see just how many things you will get to play with during this wonderful hand class.

Hand Applique Sun Bonnet Sue w/ Laurie Brobst
Saturday, August 21, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Cost: $15 plus supplies

Laurie uses a traditional Sun Bonnet Sue pattern to teach virtually invisible hand applique. Once you learn this technique the sky is the limit.

Secret Windows w/ Laurie Brobst
Saturday, August 28, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Cost: $15 plus supplies

Cheater, cheater. Cheating isn't always bad. Laura show you how cheat making this faux cathedral window. You can do a pillow as she has done, a table runner, or keep going and do whatever suits your fancy.

Stack 'n Whack w/ Laurie Brobst
Saturdays September 11 & 18, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Cost: $25 (because this is a 2 day class) plus supplies

Choose a fabric, whack it up in pieces and then see how it goes back together. You will be amazed at the different designs coming from just one fabric.

Kaleidoscope w/ Laurie Brobst
Saturday, September 25, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Cost: $15 plus supplies

Two fabrics make this great quilt with a secondary circular design. One block is all it takes.
